Jesse Mckenzie has been identified as one of the workers killed in the crash at mile marker 35.5, on I-83 South in Fairview Township. The crash happened at 3:25 a.m. on April 17, 2024, Trooper Grothey detailed in the release.
Reed Davenport has been identified as the driver of the truck but the names of the remaining two workers who died at the scene have yet to be released as of Thursday, April 18 at 5 p.m.
The CriLonCorp that Jesse worked for has released a statement reading in part:
“devastated by the tragedy that claimed the lives of three of our dedicated employees [...] this tragedy re-emphasizes the need for the motoring public to be extra vigilant, avoid distracted driving and obey all posted signs at highway construction sites.”
Jesse was a father of a young daughter and son, who was engaged to be married to the children's mom, according to social media. His sister has launched a GoFundMe to help cover the funeral expenses and help his family through this difficult time. Click here to donate.
